The PE department took a group of girls out on a rewards trip to Laser Quest followed by food at the Trafford Centre to thank them for their hard work and commitment to the PE department, both as a performer and as a Sports Leader. Some of the girls went on a rotating climbing wall in between the two laser quest games. The wall continues to move and even moves so that the girls were leaning back whilst climbing, showing off their core strength. Without these girls, we would struggle to run such a successful PE department. The girls had a fantastic day out, which ended with a dodge ball tournament in the sports hall. Well done girls, keep up the good work!  Here's what some of the students had to say about their experience:

“I have enjoyed being a sports leader this year. It has helped with my confidence. I have also enjoyed being part of the football and basketball team. As a reward, we went to Laser Quest and really enjoyed it.” Halle, Year 9 Sport Leader.

“I have enjoyed going to athletics multiple times as well as being a sports leader at the athletics competitions. This has allowed me to become a basketball coach, which has improved my confidence a lot.”  Ellie, Year 9 Sport Leader.

“As part of my role of being a sports leader, I have set up a dodgeball club and helped out at athletics competitions. I feel now that I have more experience with a wider variety of sports that are on offer. As a thanks for helping out, the sports leaders and participants were invited to Laser Quest which everyone really enjoyed.” Emma, Year 9 Sport Leader.
