14 March 2019
On Tuesday 12th March students in years 10 & 11 with a passion for Biology were selected by their teachers to take part in a laboratory based workshop at the Manchester Museum. Students carried out DNA analysis of frog samples and used a range of complex techniques to amplify and visualise the DNA from their sample. This was a great opportunity for students with a passion for science to experience what laboratory work entails at University level. At the end of the session the students were excited to see the results from their hard work as they each took home a printed picture of their DNA analysis.
